As we reflect on the achievements of 2024, one of the standout projects that we are incredibly proud of is the Bio4MorPUR project. This initiative marked a significant milestone in our journey toward sustainability and innovation in the polyurethane (PUR) industry.
A Collaborative Effort
The Bio4MorPUR project was a remarkable six-month collaboration between ecorbio and IOM Solutions, a leading company based in Rabat, Morocco. This partnership was made possible through the support of the Eureka Network Innowwide programme, which enabled us to explore the potential of introducing our sustainable biopolyol products and technology into the Moroccan market.
Understanding the Moroccan Market
With IOM Solutions’ extensive expertise in market research and analysis, we were able to conduct an in-depth study of Morocco’s construction and building sectors. This analysis provided us with valuable insights into the market dynamics, challenges, and opportunities for sustainable polyurethane (PUR) solutions in the region. Additionally, we explored potential collaborations with distributors, suppliers, and manufacturers, laying the groundwork for future partnerships.
Advancing Sustainable Solutions
Beyond market research, we leveraged our technical expertise to conduct small-scale trials of polyurethane (PUR) foam formulations with biopolyol additions. These trials were crucial in ensuring that our sustainable materials meet the critical industrial-scale requirements necessary for widespread adoption in Morocco’s construction industry.
